The Bell Aircraft Corporation was, founded by Lawrence Bellin 1935, is one of the earliest aviation company to use the Zippo for advertising. Bell built several types of fighter aircraft during World War II but is most famous for theBell X-1, the first supersonic aircraft, and for many types of helicopters, beginning with the Bell Model 30 in 1943. The company was purchased in 1960 by Textron and is known today as Bell Helicopter Textron.

based in Ft. Worth, Texas.
1957 Town and Country Bell Zippo. The
aircraft is probably an experimental X-2.
The
Hughes (not Bell) TH 55 "Osage" is a
Light observation helicopter that was often
used for training. The Zippo is from 1970.
